Samsung may soon bring its popular Virtual Aperture feature to the Galaxy S25 series through a future software update. The company is reportedly considering adding support for this software-based feature, which allows users to adjust the intensity of background blur in portrait photos.
Virtual Aperture uses object recognition to analyze different parts of the subject and create a more natural-looking blur effect. Currently, it works only with the primary camera in the Expert RAW app on higher-end models like the Galaxy S25 Ultra. However, Samsung is working on true variable aperture for the Galaxy S27 series next year.
The feature has been available on newer Galaxy models since last year and allows users to simulate aperture adjustments for better blur effects. With this update, Samsung aims to provide more flexibility for users of all devices in the Galaxy S25 series.
