Samsung February Update Rolls Out to Galaxy S25 Series and More

Samsung has released its February software updates for select phone models in the US. The update primarily includes Android security patches and minor bug fixes. However, the main reason for this release is that Samsung is preparing for the upcoming One UI 8.5 update.

The latest update is rolling out to the Galaxy S25 series, as well as the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Fold 6, Flip 7, and Flip 6 models. Some FE (Fan Edition) devices are also receiving the update. The update is minor, meaning it only includes the latest Android security patches.

Samsung’s plan is to allow these updates to “marinate” on devices for several months before releasing the full One UI 8.5 software. This should happen shortly after One UI 8.5 launches on the Galaxy S26 series.

To check for Samsung updates, go into Settings > Software update > Download and install. Currently, the update is available for various models, including:

– Galaxy Z Fold 7
– Galaxy Z Fold 6
– Galaxy Z Flip 7
– Galaxy Z Flip 6

New devices that have received the update as of March 10 include:
– Galaxy S26 Ultra
– Galaxy S26+
– Galaxy S26
– Galaxy Z Flip 3
