Samsung’s flagship camera phone, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, has been hit with a software issue that causes banding in night mode photos. The problem, which affects a limited number of users, leaves images with noticeable horizontal or vertical bands.
Despite being a top-tier device, some users have reported this unusual glitch on their phones. However, Samsung has confirmed that it’s aware of the issue and is deploying a software update to fix it.
The banding issue only occurs in night mode photos, typically near the edges of the images. Shooting with other modes doesn’t reproduce the problem, suggesting a software flaw in post processing.
A spokesperson for Samsung has since revealed that an update addressing the issue is being rolled out today, bringing relief to affected users.
