Samsung Galaxy A26 Review: A Budget-Friendly Android Smartphone

The Samsung Galaxy A26 is a key device for the company across various markets, boasting a slightly modified design and several key specs upgrades over its predecessor. The device’s retail box includes a USB-C cable, SIM ejector tool, and paperwork, with no exciting accessories.

Design-wise, the Galaxy A26 features a glass back with Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection, accompanied by a camera island arrangement. Our review unit is available in a refreshing Mint color for spring.

The 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display boasts an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, providing a smoother user experience. However, the older waterdrop notch design remains unchanged for the 13MP selfie cam.

The device also features IP67 water and dust resistance, marking an improvement from its predecessors in the A2X series. The Exynos 1380 chipset powers the Galaxy A26, accompanied by a 50MP main camera, 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro shooter.

Software-wise, the device ships with One UI 7 based on Android 15 out of the box, offering up to six Android OS upgrades and six years of security patches. The Galaxy A26 is available in two storage variants: 128GB with 6GB RAM for €299 and 256GB with 8GB RAM for £320.

While Samsung’s promises seem appealing, it remains to be seen how the device will hold up over time, particularly considering its pricing strategy and limited design changes.
