Samsung has announced several updates for the Galaxy Ring, including features designed to enhance sleep health and optimize the environment for better rest. The new sleep environment report will analyze factors such as light levels and temperature, providing suggestions to improve your surroundings.
For example, when using the Samsung Health app, the company notes that a living room had illuminance levels of 8.5-31.4 lux during 11:00 PM – 3:00 AM, which is above the recommended level. The report will suggest adjusting lighting and temperature to meet ideal standards.
The Galaxy Ring also features sleep time guidance, suggesting optimal bedtime and wake-up times based on individual sleep patterns and habits. Additionally, a mindfulness tracker aims to improve mental health by monitoring mood, breathing, and stress levels.
To accommodate users with larger hands, Samsung is introducing two new sizes for the ring, including options for size 14 and 15 fingers. However, these updates might be overshadowed by rumors of an upcoming Galaxy Ring sequel, set to debut after January 22’s Unpacked event.
