The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge’s camera package has been officially confirmed, showcasing the main and ultrawide cameras used on the upcoming device. The 200MP primary sensor is similar to that found on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, with a smaller 1/1.3″ type sensor, while the 12MP ultrawide features a larger 1/2.55″ type sensor. This leaves out a telephoto lens, which may be compensated for by the camera’s 2x zoom capabilities.
The phone’s slim design is likely to be its main selling point, rather than its camera capabilities. Although the 200MP primary sensor provides excellent zoom shots, it falls short of what would be considered a proper telephoto lens. In contrast, the iPhone 17 Air offers an ultrawide lens as well.
Rumor has it that Samsung plans to release the Galaxy S25 Edge on May 13 in Korea and China, with a wider rollout following on May 30. The phone will be available in various storage options, including 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB models, all paired with 12GB of RAM.
Prices for the device are as follows: €945, £1099, €1088, £949, €630, £632, €820, £825, €909, £726.
