Samsung’s next flagship phone, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, is set to be released soon, and leaks have revealed some key camera specs. The latest leak shows detailed information about the ultrawide lens, which features a 50MP sensor with 4-in-1 pixel binning, a 23.2mm focal length, f/1.7 aperture, EIS stabilization, and a resolution of 4080 x 3060 pixels.
Compared to last year’s Galaxy S24 Ultra, the new lens offers an improved design, moving from a 48MP sensor with a 13mm focal length and f/2.2 aperture. This change should result in brighter images. However, Samsung faces stiff competition from Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro Max, which features a similar camera setup.
The leaked specs don’t reveal much about the other lenses on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, including the telephoto lens, which is expected to have “variable capabilities.” Rumors suggest that the phone will feature a quad-camera array, but it’s unclear if this is true at present.
The leak also mentions that Samsung might upgrade its display size, add more RAM, and improve performance with the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. With Apple and Google Pixel 9 Pro already having top-notch cameras, Samsung must deliver something special to take on these competitors.
