Samsung is reportedly set to unveil its Galaxy S25 series early next year, with the top-end Galaxy S25 Ultra expected to feature minor design changes. The device will boast rounded corners and a thinner chassis compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
However, some features are expected to remain similar between the two models. The upcoming flagship will continue to support UFS 4.0 storage and display technology, with an increased maximum brightness level of up to 3,000 nits. It’s unclear if the UFS 4.0 storage will have faster read and write speeds.
In terms of storage, Samsung is expected to retain the UFS 4.0 standard for the Galaxy S25 Ultra, although there was initial speculation about a UFS 4.1 upgrade. The device will come with a minimum of 16GB RAM, up from its predecessor’s 12GB, but it won’t see a significant increase in battery capacity.
The report also reveals that some features might not be as user-friendly as expected. For instance, the Galaxy S25 Ultra may not support Find My Device when powered off, although this could potentially be enabled through settings menu options. Overall, while Samsung has introduced some upgrades to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, it seems there’s still work to be done in terms of compelling hardware specifications.
