Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7’s Durability Tested to 175,000 Folds

A Korean YouTube channel tested the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 by folding it 200,000 times and found that its redesigned hinge and thinner design couldn’t withstand repeated handling. The phone rebooted every 6,000-10,000 folds, creaked at 46,000, leaked liquid at 75,000, and stopped working speakers at 175,000. However, the folding mechanism became smoother and held its shape at any angle after the test. This raises questions about the real-world durability of foldable phones, which are prone to damage due to complex hinge designs and flexible displays.
