Samsung has released the One UI 7 beta for its Galaxy Z Flip 6, bringing significant changes and improvements. The update includes a revamped user interface, the new Now Bar, and more. However, one feature that caught my attention is the ability to use apps on the cover screen.
This long-standing pain point for Samsung’s flip phones has finally received some attention with the One UI 7 beta. A large “Get MultiStar” button in the Labs menu takes users directly to the module in the Galaxy Store, allowing them to easily install and enable the feature. This will bypass the need for the Good Lock app, providing a more streamlined experience.
While the overall cover screen experience hasn’t changed much, this small improvement is a step in the right direction towards making the most of the Galaxy Z Flip 6’s smaller display. The addition of this button raises hopes that Samsung may reevaluate its strategy and provide users with more freedom to use their phone without opening it.
