Samsung Plans Early Launch for New Galaxy S25 FE Model

Samsung is making changes to its Galaxy lineup, and recent evidence suggests that the company will launch a new base model, the Galaxy S25 FE, earlier than expected. During their Q2 2025 earnings call, Samsung announced plans to focus on maintaining sales momentum with seasonal promotions and an earlier launch of the S25 FE.

The company had previously expected the phone to be released in October, but now it’s expected to hit the market sooner, possibly within the next two months. This move could position the FE models as the new base model, moving away from the “budget” label. However, this change might also result in price increases for future Galaxy S26 models.

Samsung plans to offer seasonal sales for the Galaxy S25 series, including the S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra. The company hasn’t revealed the specifics of these promotions yet, but previous sales have seen boosted trade-ins and deep discounts for previous models. The current trade-in value for the Galaxy S25 Ultra is $580, although this might increase in the future.

The earlier launch of the Galaxy S25 FE could also signal a launch for the Galaxy S26 FE even sooner next year. With these changes, Samsung seems to be shifting its strategy to make the FE models more appealing and competitive in the market.
