Samsung Reconsiders Pricing for Galaxy S25 in South Korea

Samsung has reportedly decided to ‘freeze’ Galaxy S25 series prices at the eleventh hour, with a new Korean media report contradicting a recent rumor. The company may have reconsidered its decision not to keep entry-level variants of the phone at the same levels as last year’s Galaxy S24 family.

However, it’s essential to note that this information only applies to South Korea and may have global repercussions. A price hike in one region can impact other countries and regions. For now, it’s likely that the Galaxy S25 series will cost more than the S24 trio in the US or Europe due to upgrades such as a new Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and increased RAM.

The base model Galaxy S25 is expected to start at 1,155,000 won, with prices for the S25 Plus and S25 Ultra increasing to 1,353,000 and 1,698,400 won respectively. However, these prices apply to 256GB storage configurations, which are identical to last year’s Galaxy S24 models. This suggests that even if Western increases occur, they may be minor.

A launch promotion offering discounted 512GB models at regular prices for lower storage variants is expected to cross borders. The non-Plus and non-Ultra Galaxy S25 model may start at 128GB of internal storage space outside of South Korea, which could lead to similar introductory deals.
