Samsung has started the rollout of its One UI 7 Beta update for several devices, with the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 being the first to receive the update. The beta program is currently available in India, Korea, the UK, and the US, but it’s expected to expand to more markets soon.
The update brings some AI features to the foldables, although older or less powerful hardware may pose a bottleneck for certain features. Samsung acknowledged this in mid-February, suggesting that the company might be prioritizing other projects, such as the S23 series.
Users can apply to join the beta program via the Samsung Members app. The stable update for One UI 7 is expected to arrive sometime in April, which seems to align with a late February report. Despite its vast resources, Samsung’s delay has raised questions about whether the company genuinely couldn’t complete the update sooner.
