Samsung is using generative AI tools to create ads for its products on social media platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. The company recently posted a video showcasing its upcoming Galaxy S26 series, but it was made with the assistance of AI tools.
The video features low-light camera capabilities that look unnatural, with artificial objects and shifting cobblestones. This is not the first time Samsung has misrepresented its smartphone camera capabilities in marketing materials.
Other ads promote AI home appliances, cat edits, and snowmen struggling to determine what’s real. Many include a similar disclosure of being generated with AI tools, but YouTube and Instagram haven’t added their own labels yet.
