Samsung Teases G-Fold Tri-Fold Phone Ahead of Unpacked Event

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9 may bring some exciting announcements, including the long-rumored tri-fold device known as the Galaxy G-Fold. According to a recent leak, the phone could feature two inward-facing hinges, resulting in an inner display size of around 9-10 inches when unfolded.

However, this comes with some notable trade-offs – Samsung won’t include a digitizer layer in the display, which means no stylus support. On the other hand, the G-Fold might benefit from a new type of battery that could help reduce its thickness.

The leak also suggests that the phone will be powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Elite processor seen in previous Galaxy S models, paired with around 12GB or 16GB of RAM and at least 256GB of storage. If this rumor is accurate, Samsung fans might have a treat in store for them this summer.

Despite the lack of concrete details on the phone’s specs, it’s worth taking this leak with a grain of salt. Nevertheless, if confirmed, it would be an excellent opportunity for Samsung to make waves in the foldable market.

A more detailed release timeline is unclear, but the leak suggests that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 might hit shelves in August, while the G-Fold won’t arrive until October – potentially limiting pre-orders or delaying availability.
