Samsung has started the new year by launching two affordable devices, the Galaxy A16 5G smartphone and the Galaxy Fit3 fitness tracker. The A16 5G will be available in the US on January 9 for $199.99, while the Fit3 will cost $59.99.
The Galaxy A16 5G boasts a larger 6.7-inch screen compared to its predecessor, with a 90Hz refresh rate and an IP54 rating for added durability. It’s powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1330 processor and comes with a camera setup featuring a 50MP main lens. The device will receive six Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates.
The Galaxy Fit3 is a new iteration of the popular fitness tracker, with a 1.6-inch display that’s wider than its predecessor. It can track over 100 workout types, heart rate, sleep patterns, and blood oxygen levels. The device also features sleep coaching and stress tracking, providing users with tools to manage their health.
The Fit3 is IP68-rated for dust and water resistance and has an aluminum body, giving it a premium look. Samsung will offer a promotion, taking 50% off the price of both devices when purchased together until February 9 or while supplies last.
