Samsung Unveils Galaxy S25 Ultra Specs, AI Features and Design Improvements

Samsung is set to unveil its highly anticipated Galaxy S25 Ultra series in a few weeks, with rumors suggesting January 22nd as the launch date for the event. The phones are expected to hit stores about two weeks later on February 7th.

While some might expect significant changes, leaks reveal that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will refine the design and hardware of its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Instead, Samsung is focusing on refinements, such as slightly rounded corners for improved handling.

The key specs include a 6.8-inch QHD LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, and a camera system featuring four rear cameras (200MP + 50MP ultra-wide lens, 50MP wide-angle lens, 10MP telephoto lens) and a 12MP front-facing camera. The phone will come in various storage options up to 1TB and feature One UI 7 with Android 15.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite chip is the most significant upgrade, promising improved performance and battery life. While the 5,000mAh battery remains unchanged, the new chip may enhance its longevity. Other notable upgrades include increased RAM (up to 16GB) for improved AI features, specifically for devices featuring 512GB storage.

The One UI 7 update brings a new user interface with enhanced Galaxy AI features, focusing on local processing of AI capabilities. The design remains largely unchanged, but the added detail of slightly rounded corners promises an improved handling experience.

While leaks are not official, those familiar with Samsung’s leak patterns suggest that this information is likely accurate, especially in the lead-up to the Unpacked launch event. Overall, the Galaxy S25 Ultra offers a refined package of premium features, AI capabilities, and design improvements without deviating far from its predecessor.
