Samsung Unveils Major Soundbar Upgrades for 2025 Models

Samsung’s 2025 soundbar lineup marks a significant departure from its predecessors with major improvements in design, performance, and features. The top-of-the-line HW-Q990F boasts a new 300W cubic bass speaker design that reduces unwanted resonance and achieves frequency response as low as 32Hz, making it more compact and easier to hide away.

This innovative subwoofer is accompanied by AI-based sound optimization features, including Dynamic Bass Control and an AI-updated Active Voice Amplifier Pro system. These enhancements improve low-frequency clarity and reduce background noise, making dialogue clearer.

The Q-Symphony feature has also been AI-enhanced to take on three additional wireless speakers and detect the position of other devices like Samsung’s Music Frames for optimized sound stages. The latest Q-Symphony system can now draw from a Neural Processing Unit in Samsung’s latest TVs to further enhance dialogue and improve synchronization between audio components.

The 2025 HW-QS700F ‘lifestyle’ soundbar features a rotatable design that allows it to be mounted either horizontally or vertically, depending on the setup. This sleek design includes gyro sensor technology for automatic orientation detection and adjusts speaker output accordingly.

Both premium soundbars will support new formats like Eclipsa 3D sound and continue to feature Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Prices are yet to be confirmed, with launches expected in the spring.
