Samsung has released the One UI 7 beta based on Android 15 for its Galaxy S24 series, marking a significant update to the company’s software offerings. The latest version is packed with new features and capabilities, including major upgrades to security features.
The One UI 7 beta offers a revamped design, with changes to widgets, notification trays, and quick settings layouts. Users can still opt for the traditional unified look or switch to the newly designed interface. Samsung has also introduced bold choices in system icons and lock screen customization options.
One of the most hyped features in the update is the “Now Bar,” which provides users with real-time information on their activities. This feature, similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island, aims to offer contextual information on relevant activities such as workouts. However, details regarding integration with third-party apps remain unclear.
The One UI 7 beta also includes AI-driven features like writing assist tools, call transcript functionality, and camera app enhancements. The update is available for the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra, with initial availability in the US, UK, Korea, India, Poland, and Germany. A full release is expected to occur early in 2025.
