Samsung has launched its beta test of One UI 8, a customized version of Android 16, exclusively available on the Galaxy S25 series in the US, UK, Germany, and South Korea. The update offers improved AI capabilities, including faster app switching and enhanced multitasking features.
Key changes include a new split-screen option for better multitasking and updates to the Reminder app’s layout, making it easier to organize and share to-do lists. The interface for Quick Share has also been simplified. Notably, Android 16 now supports Auracast, an accessibility feature that allows seamless connectivity with hearing aids and certain earbuds.
The One UI 8 beta is available through the Samsung Members app, and users can test the update before it launches alongside Samsung’s next-generation foldable phones this summer. The new launch promises to initiate a new software evolution cycle for Samsung, bringing major UX and AI updates to its devices.
