Samsung Unveils Thinner, Bigger Galaxy Z Fold 7 with Major Design Changes

Samsung is set to refresh its foldable phone lineup with the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7, boasting a new design and significant hardware upgrades. According to a report from Android Headlines, the device will feature an 8.2-inch inner display alongside a 6.5-inch outer display, measuring just 9.5mm when closed. This represents a substantial improvement over its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 6, which measured 12.1mm.

The new design appears to be a wider iteration of the Galaxy Z Fold 6, retaining the same camera bump and squared corners. The device will also feature an upgraded camera, with a main sensor boasting 200MP resolution. Additionally, Samsung has opted for a 4,400 mAh battery, similar to its prior generation.

While the larger display size may be a concern, Samsung seems to have made significant strides in reducing the overall thickness of the device. When closed, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will measure 9.5mm, just shy of the current record holders, such as the Honor Magic V3 and Oppo Find N5.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to launch later this year, with July being a likely release window.
