Samsung has confirmed it won’t bring its new feature, Privacy Display, to older Galaxy phones through a future One UI 8.5 update. Despite the excitement around this technology, which was introduced on the Galaxy S26 Ultra, Samsung can’t retroactively add it to lower-end models due to hardware limitations. The feature relies on specialized Flex Magic Pixel technology, exclusive to the Ultra’s AMOLED display, and cannot be easily added through software updates.
