Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra Challenges iPhone 16 Pro Max in Gaming Performance

Samsung has unveiled its highly-anticipated Galaxy S25 Ultra lineup, boasting improved internals that significantly enhance raw computational and graphical performance compared to the previous Galaxy S24 model. In a recent comparison test between the Galaxy S25 Ultra and the iPhone 16 Pro Max, the gaming performance was put to the test in popular titles like Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves.

The results showed that the iPhone 16 Pro Max outperformed the Galaxy S25 Ultra in both games, with the former achieving a solid 95 FPS average in Genshin Impact and up to 120 FPS on high settings. In contrast, the Galaxy S25 Ultra managed an average of 60 FPS in the same game.

However, the iPhone 16 Pro Max also had some advantages over the Galaxy S25 Ultra, including better in-game resolution and a lower power draw of 5.4 Watts compared to the latter’s 7.2 Watts. Additionally, the iPhone maintained a stable frame rate while running at a cooler temperature than the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

While the iPhone 16 Pro Max performed better, Samsung’s new device has finally closed the gap with Apple’s flagship phone in terms of gaming performance. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is now a strong contender in the Android market, and fans can expect further details on its performance in upcoming articles.
