Samsung’s Wide-Folded Galaxy Z-Series Launch Coming This Summer

Samsung is preparing to launch an expanded Galaxy Z-series lineup this summer, including a wider book-style foldable device with a 7.6-inch internal screen and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The new design seems inspired by Google’s Pixel Fold from 2023, but with notable differences.

The leak, shared on Weibo, reveals that the new Samsung foldable will have a larger bezel around its display compared to other models. Despite this, it should provide an improved media-friendly experience due to its wider aspect ratio, similar to Android tablets.

In contrast to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which has an 8-inch internal screen, the new device might opt for a smaller display size due to its unique shape and bezel design. The leak also confirms that Samsung will use a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and possibly include a 4,800mAh battery with dual-cell architecture.

This release comes ahead of Apple’s rumored similar product launch, fueling speculation about Samsung’s competitive strategy in the foldable market.
