SAP SE has reported its financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2025. The company’s current cloud backlog increased by 28% and 29% at constant currencies, reaching €18.2 billion.
Cloud revenue grew 27% and 26% at constant currencies, with cloud ERP suite revenue rising 34%. Total revenue also showed a double-digit increase of 12% and 11% at constant currencies.
In terms of profitability, SAP’s IFRS operating profit reached €2.3 billion, while non-IFRS operating profit rose by 60% and 58% at constant currencies to €2.5 billion.
CEO Christian Klein described the Q1 results as a success story, highlighting the company’s ability to navigate uncertain times through its AI-powered portfolio. “Our business model remains resilient,” he said, citing predictable revenue growth of 86%. CFO Dominik Asam emphasized the importance of cost discipline and focused execution in driving the strong results.
The company is approaching the rest of the year with vigilance, safeguarding both profit and cash flow despite a highly volatile market environment.
