SAP has reimagined its cloud-based Business Suite by repackaging its cloud ERP applications to make it easier for new customers to join its ecosystem. The company also introduced AI-enhanced updates to supply chain apps, making it a one-stop shop for enterprises.
The new Business Suite packages include Cloud ERP, business applications, SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), and SAP Business AI, powered by the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). Existing customers can now use their existing set of entitlements to map to these new packages.
SAP unveiled five line-of-business packages: Finance, Supply Chain Management, Human Capital Management, Strategic Procurement, and Customer Experience. These packages include capabilities such as working capital optimization, supply chain integration, and sales and service commerce.
The company also announced several supply chain enhancements, including improved data flow, AI-driven insights, and end-to-end process optimization. These enhancements include seamless handover of material price estimations, smart guided execution, and logistics and sustainability integration.
SAP’s priority is to make sure that the product comes out as a well-integrated set of capabilities, but customers can also get additional functionality in standalone components. The company claims that every enterprise can see productivity gains of 30% with its AI-enhanced solutions.
Analysts say that SAP is making up for its slow adoption of agentic AI by delivering on its promise of an integrated vision. However, customers must be willing to “go all in” and purchase most of the product offerings available to fully engage with the capabilities offered by SAP.
