Saquon Barkley Defends Golfing with Trump Amid Backlash from Fans

Saquon Barkley, the star running back for the Philadelphia Eagles, has defended his decision to play golf with Donald Trump on Sunday, amidst backlash from some fans who are unhappy about it. The team is set to visit the White House on Monday, but running back Jalen Hurts will not attend due to “scheduling conflicts”.

Barkley took to social media to address the controversy, saying that he respects the office of the President and enjoys playing golf with politicians, including former President Barack Obama. He claimed that some fans are overreacting and trying to stir up drama.

Trump also defended Barkley, calling him a “nice guy” and stating that he was impressed by his skills on the golf course. Prior to the Super Bowl, Trump had previously praised both Barkley and Hurts as talented players.
