Saquon Barkley, 28, has signed a two-year, $41.2 million contract extension with the Philadelphia Eagles, making him the first running back in league history to earn $20 million or more per year.
Barkley’s fiancée, Anna Congdon, celebrated the news on social media, reposting an NFL graphic announcing his historic deal and commenting “Let Jesus cook!” in a post. The couple shares two children together, with Barkley Jr. being one of their kids.
In February, during an interview with PEOPLE, Barkley expressed his gratitude towards Congdon for her support throughout his career. He said she is not only helpful on the field but also in life, and their relationship continues to grow stronger.
