Saudi Official Mocks Trump’s Gaza Plan with Alaska Relocation

US President Donald Trump has proposed relocating Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, but a Saudi official has ridiculed the idea by suggesting the US relocate Israelis to Alaska and Greenland instead. Yousef bin Trad Al-Saadoun, a member of the Saudi Shura Council, made the comments in response to Trump’s remarks, which were widely condemned by major countries.

Trump claimed he would transform Gaza into “the Riviera of the Middle East” with an extraordinary redevelopment plan. However, his proposal was met with criticism from Palestinians, Arab countries, and other nations. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu later suggested that Palestinians should establish their state in Saudi Arabia instead of in their own homeland.

The Saudi official called on Palestinians to remain united, warning them that “the worst is yet to come.” He also criticized Trump’s decision-making, accusing him of ignoring expertise and refusing to consult specialists. The Saudi government has strongly condemned Netanyahu’s comments about Palestinian statehood in Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the right of the Palestinian people to their land.
