SBF Shares Diddy’s Prison Life Amid ‘Hellhole’ NYC Incarceration

Sam Bankman-Fried revealed a rare glimpse into Sean “Diddy” Combs’ life behind bars while appearing on The Tucker Carlson Show. Despite the harsh reality, Combs has been “kind to people in the unit,” including Bankman-Fried, who described their jail chats as a sign of kindness amidst a “soul-crushing” environment.

Bankman-Fried, 33, appeared thinner and more upbeat than when he was arrested last December. He joked about meeting Diddy, saying it’s unlikely they would be friends if not for the circumstances. The FTX founder also noted that the prison’s currency has shifted to basics like muffins and ramen noodles, forcing him to trade his millions for cheaper staples.

Bankman-Fried emphasized that despite the Metropolitan Detention Center’s reputation, he hasn’t faced attacks from fellow inmates. However, he expressed boredom due to lack of meaningful projects, which he spends time on by playing chess against skilled but non-English speaking opponents who often beat him.

The conversation also saw Carlson expressing sympathy towards Bankman-Fried and Combs’ situation, stating his opposition to incarceration while acknowledging the harsh realities of prison life.
