Scientists Study Super-Earth HD 20794 d for Habitable Zone Insights

The search for extraterrestrial life continues with the study of super-Earth HD 20794 d, a recently discovered exoplanet. Orbiting an eccentric path around its star, this exoplanet moves in and out of its habitable zone, making it a prime subject for further investigation.

Researchers from the University of Geneva and NCCR PlanetS detected HD 20794 d using advanced telescopes over two decades ago. The team’s breakthrough has been published in Astronomy & Astrophysics, providing new insights into the search for life beyond our planet.

Joining the discussion will be planetary astronomer Franck Marchis and lead author Nicola Nari, who will explore what a habitable world could look like, how HD 20794 d helps us understand our universe, and the latest advancements in exoplanet research.
