Scientists Stunned by Ancient Spiral Galaxy Discovery

A newly-discovered spiral galaxy, nicknamed the Big Wheel, was found just 2 billion years after the Big Bang, contradicting earlier estimates. The discovery was made by chance while searching for quasars with the James Webb Space Telescope in November 2022. Researchers at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia, were astonished to stumble upon a large spiral galaxy unexpectedly.
