NBA legend Scottie Pippen has forecasted that Bitcoin could reach a staggering $1 million in price. While his previous predictions have proven eerily prescient, experts remain skeptical about the likelihood of such a drastic surge.
In September, Pippen claimed that Satoshi Nakamoto visited him in a dream to predict Bitcoin’s price would surpass $84,000 by November 5. The prediction was remarkably close, with Bitcoin reaching above that level on November 11. However, the current price stands at roughly $95,000 on Bitstamp exchange.
Even influential figures like Galaxy CEO Mike Novogratz agree that such a milestone is unlikely to be reached within the next five to ten years. For comparison, achieving this would require Bitcoin to surpass gold’s market cap, assuming its value remains stable.
Some analysts believe the price could soar to $1 million in the near future, but these claims rely on significant events like the creation of a U.S. Bitcoin reserve in 2025. However, most experts consider such predictions highly speculative and low-probability.
