Seahawks hire Klint Kubiak as offensive coordinator

The Seattle Seahawks have hired Klint Kubiak to lead their offense following the departure of Ryan Grubb after the 2024 season. Kubiak, who served as the head coach at Colorado State and has spent three NFL seasons in various roles, will work under coach Mike Macdonald to build an offense that aligns with his vision for the team.

Kubiak previously coached receivers at Kansas, spent a year at college as an assistant before joining the Vikings’ staff in 2013. He later returned to college coaching and spent time with the Broncos and 49ers, where he helped star quarterback Brock Purdy achieve career-high marks. His leadership has been recognized by Pro Bowl honors for both Cousins and Purdy.

The Saints’ injury-laden season despite strong performances highlighted Kubiak’s ability to maximize offensive potential. With Macdonald aiming to improve the team’s physicality and development of young talent, Kubiak is well-positioned to help Seattle reach its goals.

“Having a coordinator who can get the most out of our offensive line is key for us,” Macdonald said. “We want more from our unit as we develop players selected in the last two drafts.”

Kubiak’s arrival coincides with a strong offense that features depth and power, set to work under a first-class organization. The Seahawks’ new coach sees this as an exciting opportunity to build on their young core and achieve greatness.
