Seahawks’ Uchenna Nwosu Returns from Injury Ahead of Critical NFC West Matchup

The Seattle Seahawks have activated edge rusher Uchenna Nwosu from injured reserve, clearing the path for his return to action in Sunday’s crucial matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. A thigh injury suffered during Week 5 has kept him out of play for seven games, with Nwosu expected to make his 2024 season debut on Sunday.

Nwosu had previously dealt with a knee injury sustained during preseason and was also forced to miss several regular-season games due to rehabilitation. However, he expressed confidence in being ready to contribute on Sunday, stating, “I’m preparing to be able to play… I’m just trying to get my body as ready to go and play as many plays as I need to.”

The Seahawks’ defense has experienced a resurgence in recent weeks, with the defensive line playing a key role in their success. Nwosu’s return could provide an added boost, particularly in passing situations where he may be asked to come off the bench.

Nwosu aims to make an impact on Sunday, saying, “One thing I’ve been doing my whole career is making plays… So, that’s the one thing I’m looking forward to doing when I get back out there, just making plays.”
