Seattle Storm Forward Katie Lou Samuelson Out for 2025 Season

Seattle, WA – Seattle Storm forward Katie Lou Samuelson is expected to miss the upcoming 2025 WNBA season due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee. The team made the announcement on Saturday.

Samuelson, 27, suffered the injury during practice on Thursday. This is not the first time she has dealt with injuries in her basketball career, having previously suffered from a broken foot, an ankle injury, and a back injury.

Despite signing a one-year deal with the Storm earlier this year, Samuelson will now be out for the entire season. She has averaged 5.9 points and 2.5 rebounds per game throughout her WNBA career.
