Pawport, a pet tech startup based in Phoenix, has unveiled its upgraded Smart Pet Door at CES 2025, designed to provide enhanced security and convenience for pet owners. The new smart door features an additional exterior door, constructed from thick powder-coated steel and aluminum, with two solid deadbolts that can withstand harsh weather conditions.
The door automatically opens when your pet approaches, thanks to a tracker tag and motion-sensing technology. A companion app allows users to remotely control the door, schedule access, and issue voice commands through popular virtual assistants like Alexa or Siri.
For added safety, Pawport’s smart pet door includes sensitivity gauges that prevent the doors from closing on pets as they enter or exit, while an option to disable top panel controls prevents children from accessing the door. In case of a power outage, the rechargeable battery pack ensures the door remains operational.
Pawport’s Smart Pet Door is set to start at $500 and will be available in early 2025, providing pet owners with a secure and convenient solution for their furry friends.
