Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez have shared new details about the bride-to-be’s engagement ring in an exclusive Interview magazine interview. The couple spoke about their first joint conversation, which took place two months after announcing their engagement on Instagram.
Blanco proposed to Gomez with a marquise diamond ring featuring an eternity band. Many fans speculated that the design was inspired by her song “Good for You,” where she sings “I’m a marquise diamond.” The singer confirmed this, stating she had always dreamed of wearing such a diamond.
Gomez admitted to not being too picky about her engagement ring’s appearance but switched gears during the design process. Blanco revealed that the original ring featured large baguettes on the side, which were later removed due to Gomez’s concerns.
The couple plans to repurpose some of the gemstones from the engagement ring by creating earrings for Gomez. She has a total of three wedding rings.
In other news, Blanco and Gomez are set to release their first joint album called “I Said I Love You First,” which is scheduled to debut on March 21.
