US Senator John Fetterman, 56, was hospitalized in Pittsburgh after falling while walking near his home due to a heart rhythm issue that left him feeling lightheaded. The incident occurred during a morning walk in Braddock, Pennsylvania.
Fetterman has a history of health issues since suffering a near-fatal stroke in 2022 when he was running for Senate. He has cardiomyopathy and auditory processing disorder, which affects his speech. Recently, Fetterman checked himself into Walter Reed National Military Medical Center to receive treatment for depression after being evaluated by Dr. Brian P. Monahan.
The fall caused minor injuries to Fetterman’s face, but the senator was able to make light of the situation in a statement. He joked that if his face looked bad before, it now looks even worse. Despite his health issues, Fetterman has remained active in the Senate and continues to work on behalf of his constituents.
