Sesame Workshop is thrilled to announce that Sesame Street will soon be available in more places than ever before. Two exciting developments are expected to bring new episodes of the show to Netflix worldwide and PBS stations in the US, with both releases happening on the same day.
A public-private partnership between Sesame Workshop, Netflix, PBS, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting has made this expansion possible. The collaboration ensures that young children can access research-based curriculum content globally through Netflix’s global reach, while children in the US continue to have free access to Sesame Street on public television.
Sesame Workshop is grateful for the support of its partners, whose combined efforts advance the organization’s mission and help all children everywhere grow smarter, stronger, and kinder. By donating to Sesame Workshop, fans can power the organization’s year-round mission-driven work for children.
The announcements coincide with several notable milestones in Sesame Street’s history, including a decade of autism acceptance showcased in “10 Amazing Moments with Julia,” the growth-promoting impact of Elmo on five different initiatives, and the educational value of Sesame Street & Toys and Colors.
