Sex Linked to Improved Sleep Quality

A new study published in the journal Sleep Health found that engaging in sexual activity, whether solo or with a partner, can improve sleep quality by reducing time spent awake during the night and increasing overall sleep efficiency. The research used portable brain-monitoring devices to measure sleep stages and sleep quality in a real-world setting. While participants reported feeling more motivated after partnered sex, objective data showed improved sleep outcomes regardless of sexual activity.
