Sex Toys Thrown at WNBA Games, Players React with Frustration

A series of incidents has disrupted WNBA games over the past week, with sex toys thrown onto the court from the stands in Los Angeles and other cities. The latest incident occurred on Tuesday night during the Fever’s game against Sparks in Los Angeles, when a green object landed near Indiana’s Sophie Cunningham.

Cunningham was vocal about fans throwing objects onto the court earlier this season. The incident sparked reactions from players, coaches, and the league. Spark’s coach Lynne Roberts called it “ridiculous” and emphasized player safety, while Fever’s coach Stephanie White simply stated that they can’t control everyone’s actions.

The WNBA has a zero-tolerance policy for fans throwing objects onto the court or in the seating area, which poses a safety risk to players, officials, and fans. The league will eject any fan who intentionally throws an object onto the court and impose a minimum one-year ban, as well as subject them to arrest and prosecution by local authorities.
