Colombian pop star Shakira has postponed her first concert in Peru due to a stomach issue. The singer was hospitalized and was deemed unfit for the two-night engagement at the Estadio Nacional. However, she hopes to be released on Monday and is working with her team to reschedule the show.
Shakira’s Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran world tour kicked off on February 11 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The tour will snake through South America, Central America, the Dominican Republic, and the United States and Canada. The title of the tour is taken from her 12th studio album, released last year.
The Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour is scheduled to arrive in the United States this spring, with the first American show in Charlotte, N.C., on May 13. Shakira performed at the 2025 Grammy Awards earlier this month and took home the trophy for Best Latin Pop Album for Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran.
Shakira recently settled a tax fraud case in Spain after planning to fight the charges. She stated that she prioritized her children’s well-being over the trial, saying “Throughout my career, I have always strived to do what’s right and set a positive example for others.”
