Shangela Sued for Sexual Assault by Actor Eric Poff

Shangela is facing her second sexual assault lawsuit, with a new plaintiff alleging she was sexually assaulted by actor Darius Jeremy (“DJ”) Pierce in 2017. The incident occurred on the set of the revenge comedy film “Hurricane Bianca 2,” where Poff, who worked as a production assistant, claims his drink was spiked and he woke up to find himself being sexually assaulted.

Poff alleges that Pierce anally penetrated him without consent and sent him money via PayPal after the assault. Pierce has consistently denied any allegations of sexual misconduct, calling the claims “false and unsupported by evidence.” This lawsuit brings the total number of men accusing Pierce of sexual assault to seven.

The accusations against Pierce stem from his time on TV shows such as “We’re Here” and “Drag Race,” where he advocates for LGBTQ+ rights. However, off-stage, he has faced multiple allegations in the past two years. A similar lawsuit was filed by Daniel McGarrigle in May 2023, who alleged that Pierce raped him after a wrap party.

The Rolling Stone investigation into five allegations of sexual assault against Pierce found that four people reported regaining consciousness to find themselves in Pierce’s hotel room or home with Pierce either assaulting them or watching as an unknown man penetrated them. The fifth accuser alleged Pierce attempted to penetrate them despite rejecting advances.

Poff has spoken out about his allegations twice on social media, including an Instagram video where he confronted Pierce at a WeHo restaurant and claimed that Pierce apologized for the incident.
