Shannon Price, the ex-partner of late actor Gary Coleman, has spoken out about his death on the upcoming A&E series “Lie Detector: Truth or Deception”. Fifteen years after Coleman’s 2010 death from an apparent fall in their shared home, Price agreed to participate in the show to clear her name and end speculation over the accident.
Price appeared on the show, where she took a polygraph test administered by former FBI agent George Olivo. The test asked three questions: if she ever struck Gary during their relationship, if she intentionally withheld help when he fell, or if she physically caused him to fall that day. Price answered “no” to all three.
However, the results of two questions were inconclusive, while the third question found “deception indicated”. Olivo suggested that this raised suspicions about whether Price could have done more to help Coleman before first responders arrived.
Price acknowledged that she could have helped him more and took issue with the 911 operator’s instructions. However, Olivo disputed her claim, saying she was not a victim in the situation but rather the person who failed to provide adequate aid.
Olivo also drew conclusions about the day of Coleman’s accident, stating that Price failed the polygraph test regarding his fall. He believed there was more to the story that had not been told and suggested that Price’s body on the lie detector test spoke loudly about a lie.
