UFC fighter Shara Magomedov has broken his silence after losing his first fight in the octagon. The 30-year-old Russian was defeated by Michael ‘Venom’ Page at UFC Saudi Arabia, with a unanimous decision verdict of 30-27, 30-27, and 28-29.
Post-fight, Magomedov hinted that a serious medical issue had affected his training camp, citing a “nightmarish health condition” as the reason for his loss. However, he vowed to bounce back from the setback.
The incident has sparked debate over whether Magomedov’s injury was a factor in his defeat. Dana White, UFC president, dismissed this notion, stating that Page’s style matchup was simply too difficult. “Styles make fights,” White said. “Michael ‘MVP’ is a tough opponent to fight, and Shara’s loss doesn’t diminish him.”
Magomedov took to social media to thank the UFC organization and everyone who stood by him after the fight. He also vowed to return stronger than ever, saying he would not let his injury define him.
