Siri Delays Hit New Apple TV, HomePod Products

Apple’s product launches are expected to pick up soon, but not without a few hitches. The new Siri is delayed, causing several previously announced products to wait in the wings.

In-house development and control over launch timing can still lead to delays. This was seen during the pre-Apple silicon era when Mac updates were tied to Intel’s chip timeline. Now, Apple’s internal struggles with Siri are holding up some highly anticipated products.

The original launch window for Siri’s new features was March 2025, but it got delayed. Then, a Bloomberg report said March 2026 was the new target date. However, it seems like iOS 26.5 beta has come and gone without any changes to Siri. The focus now shifts to iOS 27, which is expected to be a major update with many exciting features.

According to Mark Gurman, there are several Apple products ready for release but waiting on the new Siri. These include:

* New Apple TV 4K
* HomePod 3 (now known as ‘HomePad’)
* HomePod mini 2
* A third generation of full-sized HomePod

These products were initially set to launch last year, but the delay in Siri’s updates is causing them to wait. Apple had previously announced that new HomePod and HomePod mini models would be released late 2025.

The good news for fans of Apple’s smart home devices is that the new Siri features are expected to bring significant improvements. With these upgrades, there’s more reason than ever to get excited about the upcoming products.
