Meri Brown, 53, has spoken out about the breakdown of her family’s funds, alleging that ex-husband Kody never intended to give her an equal share. In a recent episode of Sister Wives, Meri shared her concerns with her friend Jen, claiming that Kody had said she didn’t need as much because she only has one child, Leon.
However, Meri points out that she paid equally into the family bank and contributed significantly to the funds for their children’s college expenses, cars, and other needs. She claimed that the majority of the money went towards supporting her siblings’ kids, not hers.
Meri also revealed that Kody had previously stated that he wasn’t entitled to an equal portion of the property due to having only one child. Despite this, Meri is now seeking a fair share of their Coyote Pass property, which she believes is owed to her.
The situation has led to tension between Meri and Kody, with both parties retaining attorneys to protect their rights to the land. The dispute highlights the complex financial dynamics within the Brown family, particularly after their marital separation in 2014.
Meri’s comments come as Kody continues to navigate his new life with wife Robyn Brown, who he married after divorcing Meri and also adopted three of her children.
