Friday Night SmackDown returned to American soil from inside the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois. The episode featured a heated women’s feud between Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton, moderated by Wade Barrett.
The two superstars faced off in what was advertised as a “Face-to-Face” discussion, with Flair claiming she chose Stratton as her WrestleMania 41 opponent because of the champion’s desperation. Stratton fired back, saying that Flair is haunted by her past and will never win the title due to her father’s influence.
The crowd sided with Stratton, and the women went at each other verbally before Stratton took a jab at Flair’s recent divorce from Andrade. Flair responded by calling herself the “Nepo Queen,” implying that she is above criticism. The segment ended with Stratton threatening to label Flair as WWE’s least favorite “nepo baby” if she loses.
Meanwhile, in other news, Nick Aldis announced a women’s tag team gauntlet match for next week’s show, featuring teams from both Team Red and Team Blue competing for the Women’s Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 41.
In the ring, B-Fab took on Naomi after Naomi attacked her last week. The match ended with Naomi winning after B-Fab missed a kick and Naomi capitalized on the mistake. However, Jade Cargill was not pleased with the result and attempted to attack Naomi again after the bell, only to be stopped by officials.
The tension between Cargill and Naomi continues to build, with Nick Aldis announcing that the two will face each other in a one-on-one match at WrestleMania 41. The stage is set for a thrilling showdown between these two superstars next week on SmackDown from the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington.
