Three small businesses in Downtown Memphis have secured thousands of dollars in grants, helping to boost local economic growth. The Downtown Memphis Commission’s Center City Development Corp. approved board members to oversee the progress of the Sheraton hotel, a key development in the area.
Sophia Surrett, a recent University of Alabama graduate with a degree in journalism, covers restaurants, residential real estate, and hospitality and tourism. She is among the first to share news about the successful businesses, highlighting the potential for growth in Downtown Memphis.
As part of the grant program, SovereignTea Cafe and Northside Grill have received funding to help them expand their operations. The grants also cover the costs associated with the Sheraton hotel’s development.
